How to accept payments on Kajabi with Midtrans

We've added integration to Midtrans, which allows businesses in Indonesia to accept payments using their Midtrans merchant accounts directly from their Kajabi checkout pages.

Sell your Kajabi products in IDR

You can sell your offers in any currency using CheckoutJoy, even in IDR! Simply set up your Kajabi offers to display the prices in IDR and add the CheckoutJoy plugin to your Kajabi checkout pages.

How to take IDR payments

Setting up your Kajabi account for IDR payments is easy - you have two options:

  1. Using CheckoutJoy's custom checkout pages
  2. Embed the CheckoutJoy plugin on your Kajabi checkout pages

CheckoutJoy checkout pages provides advanced features and layouts

To set up a checkout page for Midtrans, simply select the checkout page template you want to use and customise the content using the form configurator.

Embed the CheckoutJoy plugin on your Kajabi checkout pages

The CheckoutJoy plugin can be added to your checkout pages by adding a small piece of code to your Kajabi checkout settings.

The plugin embeds a payment button on your checkout pages that creates a Midtrans checkout session.

When a customer selects the Midtrans payment option, they are taken to the secure Midtrans checkout page. There they can select any of the payment options supported by Midtrans to complete the payment in Rupiah.

If the payment succeeds, they will be taken to your thank-you page that you have configured for the offer, and CheckoutJoy will activate their purchase in your Kajabi account.

They will receive their login details and welcome email from Kajabi and have access to the products they have purchased.

Selling in other currencies

If you're selling products in other currencies, you can still take payment in IDR. The CheckoutJoy plugin will do the currency conversion on checkout from any currency to IDR, so your customer will always pay the equivalent IDR amount no matter in what currency you advertise your products.

The example below shows a Kajabi checkout page with an offer of $10 USD, which is converted to IDR on checkout.

Your customers will automatically get access to the offers that they've purchased, no Zapier required.

Something to keep in mind

As with all third-party payment integrations to Kajabi, there is no way to record details for payments created outside of Kajabi, which means that any sale made on Midtrans will not show up on your Kajabi dashboard.

Luckily your sales are recorded on the CheckoutJoy side so you will have full visibility of your sales.

Setting up your Kajabi website to take payments with Midtrans

To start accepting payments with Midtrans on Kajabi, you'll need the following

  • A verified Midtrans account with a Server Key
  • A Kajabi account with an existing offer
  • A CheckoutJoy account (sign up for a free trial here)

Once signed up with CheckoutJoy, you need to follow the easy 3 step setup guide here to set up your Kajabi offers with the Midtrans payment button.

Once that is completed, you are set to take payments in IDR!
